The Lechon Manok craze swept the nation in the 1980’s. It was practically impossible for the ordinary citizen to leave his home and arrive at any destination without seeing at least two competing lechon manok kiosks in the streets.

Baliwag Polytechnic College (BPC)
Baliwag Polytechnic College (BPC) is a public run college institution. It was established by Hon. Mayor Romy Estrella in 2008. The first building of BPC was located at the old St. Augustine Building. Just recently BPC move to its new location at 2nd floor of STAR Building. The new location is bigger and promises more improvement and greater student capacity.
BPC offers both Skills Training Institute or TESDA Courses (2-year program) and CHED Program Courses (4 years). It also offers scholarship and minimum tuition fee to residents of Baliwag.
Baliuag University Glee Club Reaches National Glee Championship

The entry of Baliuag University in SM City's Glee style competition had reached the finals which will be held at SM Megamall, September 25. BU's Glee which portrays similar characters to the musical phenomenon Glee bagged first place in the Regional competition held at SM City Baliwag last September 18. BU outperformed other provincial contestants with their talents and voice power.

Every year, Baliwag Bulacan Lenten procession had been the center of the attention of media. More than that however, the more than a century old procession is a way to rekindle faith and to profess our devotion to God. Baliwag, Bulacan is one of the oldest towns in the Philippines and has a lot of history to share and perhaps through the Baliwag Lenten procession the faith and the tradition which is genuinely Filipino remains.
